Coastal Cubs and Scouts make trip to Slieve Gullion Forest Park

It was perfect weather for hiking last weekend as Coastal Cubs and Scout Sections came together to hike Slieve Gullion starting at the upper carpark and hiking to the top of the cairn as well as looking into the shelter at the top and back again it was a great day for it and all in the spirit of the outdoors.
Scouting Together – Adult Scouter Training

A Great weekend Spent with great people all with one thing in common, to provide for our youth members through Non Formal Education and hopefully as Scouters bring back useful bits of information that we can impart and implement elements of this training within our various groups within the Louth Region.
Phoenix Challenge 2025

The aim of Phoenix Challenge 2025 is to celebrate both the event itself and all the scouts who have had the chance to enjoy the event over the last twenty years.
Camp North East 2025

Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, Scouts from across the North East came together at Causey Farm for an unforgettable mix of adventure, friendship, and fun. A Brief History of Scouting

When Robert Baden-Powell publsihed “Scouting for Boys” in January 1908, boys all over Britain and Ireland began to meet in “Patrols” to try out the various activities. B-P never intended to start a new separate Movement; rather it was the boys of the world who started Scouting, as we know it today.
Scouting Ireland Internship 2021

I’ve written about what I got up to this Summer working in a Scout Centre and what is involved in running a Scouting Ireland Scout Centre like Larch Hill. I very much enjoyed the experience doing so and would recommend to anyone of Rover age to get involved. It’s a fantastic experience and you won’t regret being part of it.
