What a day we had for the Inaugural Louth Scout County Raft Race in Port Beach on Saturday July 26th. BRAVO!! to The Turnip Team from 8th Louth Slieve Foy for taking home the win for the wee county. ’til we sail again 

Leinster Fleadh 2025

On July 8th, 7th, Louth Coastal Welcomed Clogherhead Girlguides, ladybirds, and brownies to Piperstown campsite for an evening of song and somres. Thanks to Leinster Fleadh for the music we loved having you. Was a great evening.

A Brief History of Scouting

When Robert Baden-Powell publsihed “Scouting for Boys” in January 1908, boys all over Britain and Ireland began to meet in “Patrols” to try out the various activities. B-P never intended to start a new separate Movement; rather it was the boys of the world who started Scouting, as we know it today.
