
7th Louth Coastal Scout Group had its Group Camp on the weekend of the 22nd to the 24th of August 2025 in Piperstown where Scouter Service Awards and Youth Scouter Badges were handed out to those Youth Members who are moving up to Beavers who are moving to Cubs and Cubs up to Scouts in September.
On the evening of Friday August 22nd 2025 it was cause for Celebration as Scouter Service Awards were presented to two of our Group Scouters. Group Leader Bobby Cunningham recieved his 5 Years Service Award presented to him by Deputy Group Leader Jack Nelligan. Cub Section Leader Sabena Faulker also recieved her 10 Years Service Award presented to her by Deputy Group Leader Jack Nelligan also. BRAVO to All and well done.
Group Camp itself was pirate themed and each of the pirate crews were given tasks to complete and clues to find burried the treasue that laied below. Throughout the tasks each crew member had to work as a team to obtain a piece of a pirate map that held vital information as to where the treasue was burried. For each task that was incomplete or crew members failed to work as a team a dabloon was taken away from the team members jar and whoever had the most dabloons by the end of the camp determind who was first to go at finding the treasue buried below the decks.
