The other day, I met a bear

Up in the woods,

Away up there

He looked at me, I looked at him

He sized up me , I sized up him

He said to me , Why donโ€™t you run

I see you ainโ€™t , Got any gun

And so I ran , Away from there

But right behind , Me was that bear

And then I saw,

ahead of me O glory me ,

A great big tree

But the nearest branch, Was ten feet up

I have to jump , and trust my luck

And so I jumped , Into the air

But I missed that branch, away up there.

Now donโ€™t you fret , nor donโ€™t you frown

Because I caught that branch , on my way down

Thatโ€™s all there is , There ainโ€™t no more

Unless I meet , that bear once more.
