International Women’s Day 2026 – Give to Gain 🌍💜
Today we celebrate International Women’s Day, a moment to recognise the incredible impact women and girls have in our communities, our movements, and our world. This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” reminds us that when we invest in others—through support, encouragement, and opportunity—we all grow stronger together.
At 7th Louth Coastal Scouts, we see this every day.
From young girls learning new skills for the first time, to young women stepping forward as leaders, mentors, and role models, Scouting is a place where confidence is built, friendships are formed, and futures are shaped. When we give time to teach a knot, share outdoor skills, organise an activity, or encourage someone to try something new, we’re doing more than just volunteering—we’re helping the next generation thrive.
The strength of our Scout group comes from the dedication of our leaders, volunteers, parents, and especially the young people who show courage, curiosity, and kindness every week. Many of those inspiring moments come from the girls and women in our group who step up, support each other, and show what true leadership looks like.
Give to Gain is about more than a theme—it’s a mindset:
• Give your time to mentor someone younger
• Give encouragement when someone doubts themselves
• Give opportunities so everyone can learn and grow
Because when we give support, we gain stronger communities.
When we give opportunity, we gain confident leaders.
When we give encouragement, we gain a brighter future.
Today, we thank and celebrate the girls and women who make 7th Louth Coastal Scouts such a vibrant, supportive, and inspiring community.
Let’s continue to lift each other up—not just today, but every day.
