What a day we had for the County Orienteering Day in Piperstown for the third year in a row. There was over two hundred youth members in attendance this afternoon between the different groups involved. The groups enjoyed the course(s) that were laid out by County Commissioner Gerry Finnegan, County Programme Coordinator Fintan Sheridan (Sherry) Jack Nelligan (Coastal) and Cormac Sheridan (Saint Patricks Scout Group) Miriam and Sabena. From the sounds of it and the feedback from the various groups on the day were that they enjoyed the courses and we even had some of the younger groups come back and do more runs around different courses, which is great to see from all groups.
Prizes were presented to the winning groups by County Commissioner Gerry Finnegan and photos from today’s event can be seen across the Louth Scout County Facebook pages and the various scout group social media.
We hope you enjoyed the event today and we look forward to seeing you again at the next one whenever that may be.
